On 11 February 2025, CityMedic joined Airdoc and KPJ Health Central Hospital to sign a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at advancing the use of artificial intelligence in diagnostics and patient care. As Airdoc's appointed distributor in Malaysia, CityMedic sits at the centre of bringing this technology into one of the country's largest private healthcare networks.

What the technology does

Airdoc's retinal AI analyses a single fundus image to flag up to 39 eye abnormalities and assess as many as ten chronic-disease risk profiles — all within about three minutes.

For a hospital group managing high patient volumes, that speed turns opportunistic screening into a realistic, scalable service.

Why it matters

The MoU outlines joint efforts to explore innovative solutions that advance healthcare accessibility and patient outcomes. For us, partnerships like this are the whole point: frontier technology only changes lives when it reaches the clinicians and institutions that serve patients every day.
